Workshop on Matrix Theory and Applications to be held in November

The second international workshop on Matrix Theory and Applications will be held in November 2022.

The workshop is organized by AKFA University, Bukhara State University (both Uzbekistan), Sukkur IBA University (Pakistan) and Naresuan University (Thailand).

The purpose of the workshop is to stimulate research and, in an informal setting, to foster the interaction of researchers working in applications of matrix theory. The workshop will provide a forum through which mathematicians may be better informed of the latest developments and newest techniques in linear algebra and matrix analysis and may exchange ideas with researchers from a wide variety of research fields from different parts of the world.

This workshop will be held virtually on 15-17 November 2022. The workshop will focus on a series of lectures on an introduction and recent development to matrix analysis and its applications.

Among the speakers of the workshop are Gilbert Strang and Alan Edelman (both from MIT, USA), Pavel Kurasov (Institute of Mathematics, Stockholm University – Sweden), Tin-Yau Tam (University of Nevada, Reno-USA), Monika Anna Winklmeier (Universidad de los Andes – Bogota Colombia), Antonio Fazzi (University of Padova – Italy), etc. There will be also several speakers from Uzbekistan, including professors from AU.

AU Engineering School Dean Bahodir Ahmedov said: “We are very glad the second series of the International Workshop on Matrix Theory will be held at AKFA University on November 15-17, 2022. Studying the theory of matrix can help students, academics and professionals to solve many problems in Engineering, Econometrics, Finance, Economics, Decision Sciences, and many other areas.”

“We are very glad that well know professors and researchers will give a speech at the conference. For example, Professor Gilbert Strang and Alan Edelman from MIT, USA; Professor Pavel Kurasov from IM, Sweden; Tin-Yau Tam from University Nevada, USA and many others. We encourage your researchers and students to participate in the conference,” he added.
