AU hosts regional contest of ICPC

AU hosted a regional programming championship within the global program ICPC on 27 November 2022.

The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) is an algorithmic programming contest for college students. Teams of three, representing their university, work to solve the most real-world problems, fostering collaboration, creativity, innovation, and the ability to perform under pressure.

Through training and competition, teams challenge each other to raise the bar on the possible. Quite simply, it is the oldest, largest, and most prestigious programming contest in the world.

Over 250 teams across Uzbekistan registered to the competition. The competition, organized in cooperation with IT Park, was held in premises of AU and Tashkent University of Information Technologies. The final stage was attended by 150 companies.

During five hours, teams solved the problems. Some 20 teams advanced to the semifinals, which will be held in Almaty, Kazakhstan.

One of AU teams, including Jakhongir Bakhodirov, Saydullo Ismatov and Doniyorbek Rakhmonberdiev, coached by Professor Bahodir Ahmedov, received the certificate of achievement for the third prize.
